Playhouse Disney -Hollywood and Dine + drama

Ok, so we finally made it to our FIRST character breakfast!
It was Playhouse Disney's Hollywood and Dine with JoJo and Goliath from JoJo's Circus, and Leo and June from The Little Einsteins. Ty loves these characters, watched the shows before we left for Disney so that he was familiar with them.
It was nice, a buffet, which I don't usually love, but the food was fresh, especially the salad. It is real cute, they have these Disney guys that sing all the songs and get everyone up and dancing with the characters. Tyler really liked this and clapped and dances along, but was a little overwhelmed and timid.
Its a little dark, but here I am singing with him...

So we waited for Jo Jo got close to our table, but she would go back to the same table...who obviously were her friends. I have never seen anything like it, especially from a Disney character...and I didn't feel so bad for Tyler as I did for all the little girls lined up waiting patiently. We finally were able to snap one picture...

Jo Jo and Ty

AND....she didn't continue to the next table..she went back to the table with her friends...
The table she was going back to were a bunch of girls in their 20s who get this..were cast members too. You think they would have been aware...but it was getting ridiculous. There were grumbles from all the tables around us. JoJo took 500 pictures with them, was dancing with them, the WHOLE time...I was just stunned...but the WORST part was when she pulled a Britney Spears...She started to lift her little shirt in a seductive way...my jaw hit the ground. I looked at the lady at the table next to us and we had this stunned look on our face. I could not believe what I just saw. I was scarred. Disney Characters DO NOT do that, especially around children! It was one thing to not do her job and visit all the tables, but GOOD LORD! I was really sad, like I was just told there was no Santa or Easter Bunny. My sadness turned to anger...It takes a LOT to make me angry. Jo Jo needed a talking too. SO...I asked to see a manager...we took him outside. We told him everything that happened, at first he argued that they were paying customers and that they could take pictures with the characters...he didn't get it, I was just painting the picture for him, then I told him about her little strip tease and he became very upset. He apologized and said he was going to talk to the person who was playing the character. I still was upset, especially how he treated me when I started my complaint. It just was not very "DISNEY", you know what I mean? There is a certain standard. I was left with a bad taste and a sinking feeling in my heart...what happened to my perfect Disney magic? We headed out and I saw the High School Musical marching band and it made me smile...so I was getting it back. I still can't look at JoJo the same...that's nuts, I know!
I hope no one decided not to go, because other that that incident, it was quite lovely and adorable.
I would go back...and maybe only shoot Jo Jo one or two dirty looks...haha
I am over my tiff with Minnie Mouse...haha (who would not take a picture with us on our honeymoon because we were not kids, haha) Minnie was wonderful this time. ;)
Something is wrong with me...haha

Day 3 MGM...Hollywood and Vine Playhouse Disney (maybe)

So today we are off to MGM! We have reservations for a character lunch with Playhouse Disney...more on that later ;) We decided to drive and found it to be a lot easier for us...with the stroller, cameras, diaperbag... all our gear, having our car made it easier for us.

Here is a picture of Tyler as we head our, ears still firmly in place ;)
Ty on the way to MGM

So we get to MGM and it is so exciting. We head right in and get the fast passes for Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster for me ;) Tim is not so fond of the rides, so I hit them up solo. I LOVE rides. Tim and Ty took a walk while I had a little fun. It is odd, because I am not used to going at it alone, but it was crazy fun ;)

I found my two hamdsome boys and saw some fun characters. This guy will give you an autograph of any famous person you want him too ;) So Tim got one...These walking actors are so talented...in his best broadway voice, he sang Happy Birthday to another guest...it went "Thissss is yourrrr Birthday song, It is not very long..Happy Birthday" and he sat right down. I thought it was so funny and cute. He put me in mind of a funny andy Dick. haha

And then we met this villaness type character that I made Tim pose with...Notice Ty covering his ears? He did that whenever he was afraid. It was so cute.

So, it was ESPN weekend. They had a huge stage and lots of events and sports stars...we didn't get to see any, but a funny thing happened on the way...and Tim is gonna kill me for sharing, but here goes. I was wandering around the crowd taking pictures and Tim was trying to get my attention...notice his face as I am not able to read his lips ;)
He's like, OK Cand, camera down...I am gonna be on TV!
TimTyESPN
Yes my friends, my adorable hubby thought he was in the crowd while they were filming an interview (that was fake mind you) Tim didn't know that and wanted me to call everyone we knew...I was dying with laughter at this point, I was in "the know" haha. You can see them in the background...look closely at the big screen.

I finally let Tim know, and believe me, I HAD to convince him...that is was all pretend. Despite that, Tim said it was lots of fun anyway and he felt famous.
Here is the HAHAHA you got me smile, stop laughing Candace and just take the picture...

I think I made up for the lack of picts in the last post...haha
Where is the character lunch story...oh, that deserves a seperate post...haha JoJo disappointed me...sigh...little drama...
Thats coming soon, plus Tyler was cute and Goliath was adorable and real sweet to Ty, so it was not all bad.

Day 2 Animal Kingdom, friends and fireworks

Here we are, Day 2 in Disney! Sooo excited!
Well, it was a busy day...VERY CROWDED and cold...but still fun...it is DISNEY!
We went to Animal Kingdom today...my calves hurt me so bad!
(the 219 steps we ran without warming up in St Augustine's Lighthouse still had me hurting ;)) Tim's too...and since it was gonna rain, I didn't want to ruin my running shoes....so I wore my flip
flops...I was in PAIN, I was walking around like a bad Donald Duck impression...sad sad sad...

We watched the outstanding Kenyan acrobatic troupe, Ty loves it and was dancing and clapping to the beat. I think I have this on video ;) Looked at some of the animals and birds around the park. We got a snack and walked around...and around...

We walked around some more, and I, well ...I decided to do something I never thought I would do!
Decided I was gonna buy CROCS!!!
Those ugly ugly, cloggy plastic shoes with lots of holes!
Problem!!!...crocs were nowhere to be found...
All of the Crocs on every kiosk in Animal Kingdom had sold out of the adult sizes. We continue our search, but decided we should have fun too... :) We went over to Dinoland USA..
Ty rode the din-o-rama ride with me...it goes up and down and in circles..Our little daredevil LOVED it...we rode it twice, but it was getting really chilly, so we decided to head out.
Here is a picture of Tyler and me in front of the Din-o-rama ride ;)

The Dino ride

On our way out, I waddled out like goofy who had way to much to drink 9and I am talking the silly stuff), my calves and feet were crippling me...yeah, not good, and then I saw The Rainforest Cafe...I took a chance and prayed they had adult crocs.
AND THEY DID!
So happy! Holy amazing extreme comfort...they were so COMFY and worth it! I completely recommend it to anyone and everyone who is gonna do a lot of walking. I seriously think you all would love them...haha
Tim loves his black pair, I love my hot pink ones...Tyler in his little blue ones...we even bought little charms that stick in the holes of the shoes.

We headed back to Pop to meet our Florida friends Kevin and Denise.
We rode the Disney bus back and Tyler still had his adorable Mickey Ears on...Here are a couple pictures we took...

Ty's Mickey Ears
Ty in his ears

Kevin and Denise - It was so good to see them. It had been so long since we last saw them in person, but they have not changed at all. Wonderful people, and great friends...
We had lunch at Pop with them, then hung out by the pool in the freezing cold...Tim and Kevin drank a beer, and Denise and I had a frozen drink...(remember I said it was freezing cold...haha) while Ty took a nap (A LOOOOONG nap)...we sat right outside the door and shivered, waiting patiently. It was nice to catch up with them.
When Tyler woke up, we went to the Poly...they renovated the inside! It looked amazing. We spent our honeymoon at The Polynesian (poly) and went back 2 years later. It is our favorite resort by far. We love The Grand Floridian too, but The Poly holds a special place in our hearts.
Can I just say...LOVE THE DINING PLAN! We went to the Kona Cafe...Our bill was $115!!!! Tim and I had crabcakes for appetizer (each had our own, of course shared with Kev and Denise), (Lump Crab Cakes - Pan seared lump crab cakes served with Asian tartar and pineapple relish) Um...yeah...YUMMMM Our entrees, we each got Char-Crusted Filet Mignon - Served with mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, asparagus, and a 5-spiced mushroom sauce), Ty LOVED the Filet!
We were soooo full, and completely satisified. For just Tim and I, the bill came to $115! I would say, the Dining Plan is worth is and MORE... and we were so full, we had to take our desserts to go... we each got the White Chocolate Cheese Cake After Dinner, Ty was getting restless, so I took him for his first trip on the monorail. As we went around, it stopped and had to go real slow for some reason and this lady was freaking out in our section..scared Tyler...but we made it back...watched the electric water parade in the water on the beach at Poly (I loved that this has not changed, it was amazing to share this with Tyler) and the fireworks over Magic Kingdom (lets jsut say at this time, I am getting a bit emotional, this moment, holding my child and sharing this with him. It truely is a dream come true for me...this exact moment)
Sigh, anyway, the fireworks...they didn't scare Tyler at all...he kept saying COOOOL and WOW! It was so cute and he clapped when they were over. We got ready to head back, but on the way, Denise found a little kitten hiding...she wanted to take him home, but could not catch him. I am sure he gets lots of Disney love...but it was so cute. We got a picture of Denise and Kevin before we headed out...Here is the lovely couple
Kevin and Denise

We headed back to Pop, we were soooo tired! We had to rest up for the first character meal tomorrow ;) Heading to MGM Studios!
